Hello and welcome to my site! Allow me to introduce you to the person behind the red barn door. My name is Tara and I am a farmer’s wife, student, thrifty shopper, DIYer, and proud mama of a little puppy named Boston. The three of us moved into an old farmhouse in Minnesota in January 2011 and began personalizing it right away. As newlyweds, we were on a tight budget when it came to decorating. I started shopping for house décor and furniture at local garage sales, thrift stores, and flea markets and realized that repurposing various items can be both rewarding and very addicting.
